Center for Nursing Leadership

Vision: To be the foremost provider of opportunities for emerging and established nurse leaders to develop their full potential.

Mission: The Center for Nursing Leadership provides programs for nurses in the nation to optimize influence for nursing leadership in education, practice and policy.

Established in 2004, the Center for Nursing Leadership at the University of South Carolina in Columbia is a statewide organization that works with health care organizations, clinicians, and educators in South Carolina and across the nation.

Through our annual events, advocacy, and leadership fellowship programs, the CNL provides information and learning opportunities for current and aspiring nurse leaders. The Center supports nurse and other health care leaders in understanding the complexity of health care in order to improve practice, effectiveness, and the value of healthcare, which ultimately improves system and patient outcomes.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
